Namgyun Kim

My research focuses on redesigning work processes, working conditions, and workforce-training programs involved in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industry to subvert the causes of low productivity, high accident rates, and shortages of skilled laborers. Specifically, my work yields fundamental insights into mechanisms affecting human cognition within the context of construction, and I apply these insights to augmenting the cognitive and physical capabilities of current and future workers using Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), advanced sensing technologies, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
