Joachim H. Faust '81 (ARCH), is Managing Partner of HPP Hentrich-Petschnigg & Partner GmbH + Co. KG in Duesseldorf, Germany, one of the country’s most successful architectural partnerships. Faust studied architecture at the Technische Universität in Berlin, Germany, at the Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule in Aachen, Germany and completed his Master’s degree at A&M. After working in the offices of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (Houston and New York) and Eggers/ Kohn, Pederson, Fox (New York) he came to HPP, where he began as director of the Frankfurt office and of which he became a limited partner in 1994. Faust has been a member of HPP’s general management since 1997. From his post with one of the largest AE firms in one of the most industrialized nations in the world, Faust has had enormous influence on design and the built environment in Europe and beyond - as HPP maintains 11 offices worldwide, including branches in Istanbul, Shanghai, and Washington. Faust created an internship for Texas A&M students at HPP, provided HPP projects for exhibit at A&M, lectured at the College of Architecture, and served as an informal advisor.
