Undergraduate Minors

Minors can complement your major coursework by taking more specialized courses in a related field. Choosing a minor can help you with your future career goals.

Almost 100 minors are offered through the various colleges at Texas A&M University. A complete list of available minors can be found at the Office of the Registrar.

*In an effort to maintain a manageable enrollment relative to instructional spaces, resources, and faculty the Department of Visualization is temporarily suspending new enrollment into the Minor in Art and Minor in Game Design and Development. This change will not impact current students enrolled in these programs.

Minor Requirements

Minors require 15-18 hours of selected coursework in a specific field of study. The minor designation appears on a student’s transcript but not their diploma. Once declared, a minor becomes part of the student's graduation requirements.

Students can choose up to two minors, but they must be declared before the graduating semester.

Students must receive signed approval from their department's academic advisor. Applications are then processed by the student's home college or major department.
