Required Training

All Texas A&M University employees must complete the state-mandated training courses on Ethics, Creating a Discrimination-Free Workplace (EEO), Information Security Awareness, Orientation to the A&M System, and Reporting Fraud, Waste, and Abuse.

You will not be able to complete these courses until all of your hiring paperwork has been put into the Payroll & HR systems, so wait 1 week before attempting them.

How to complete the training courses

  • Log in to HR Connect at https://sso.tamus.edu/ and click on the TrainTraq tab.
  • Click Assigned Courses.
  • Click on each course name to begin that course.
  • After you have finished reading the information, complete the quiz at the end of the training.  You may take the quiz as many times as necessary, but you must answer all of the questions correctly to receive credit for the training.

Development Training

There are a wide variety of courses available to TAMU employees at no cost or low cost through the Employee & Organizational Development Program.  You can work with your supervisor to find out which courses would be best for you, then register online.

Staff Development Funds

Staff members can request funding to attend developmental training either on campus or elsewhere via the College's Staff Development Committee.
