Defining Diversity:
In the College of Architecture, Diversity is meant to encompass the full spectrum of characteristics of our community including (but not limited to) ethnic background, religious beliefs, age, political beliefs, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, physical ability and gender. We believe that a diverse college is one that embraces the richness of this variety and provides an environment in which each individual is respected and celebrated.
Criteria:
· Open to current College of Architecture students
· Entry must promote diversity
· Entry must be original (previously awarded projects do not qualify)
· Entry must have been conducted in the past two years while enrolled in the College of Architecture
· Entry can come from a class project or independent studies
· Entries on community engagement efforts are welcomed
· Both team or individual work are acceptable submissions
· Work can be in progress
· Multimedia submissions are welcomed
· Award winners will be showcased in the College of Architecture
Project Summary:
Entries are required to give a brief abstract of the intent of the project, the main objectives, learning lessons and how does your entry advances awareness of diversity issues?
Categories:
A total of ten awards are offered for students representing all four COA departments. Note that in the event that a group entry is selected as a winner, the group would divide the award prize.

Submission Requirements:
· All entries must submit a 500(max) word abstract
· Supporting images are acceptable
· Multimedia submissions must include a short explanation in writing
