Charles H. Culp
Culp, a professor in the Department of Architecture and associate director of the Energy Systems Laboratory, is one of eight faculty members selected for the 2026 class as a University Distinguished Professor. He is only the second faculty member in the College of Architecture’s history to receive the distinction.

Dr. Culp’s interests are technology education, improving the comfort/energy efficiency of buildings, involving students in research, combining architecture with technology to achieve high performance buildings, measurement and verification, air flow technology and human comfort in building spaces.
