Gary Boyd ’71 (ARCH) is semi-retired to his and his wife’s home in the Texas Hill Country. He serves part-time as a project manager for the redevelopment of the Hemisfair site in downtown San Antonio. Prior to retirement in late 2013, he was president of MOCA Systems, a Boston based project management firm and prior to that, senior vice president of Parsons Corp, serving as their buildings division representative in the Middle East. While in that position, the firm managed multi-billion dollar design and construction programs involving new universities, governmental office buildings, public schools, and the industrial port city of Yanbu in Saudi Arabia. Before Parsons’ acquisition of 3D/International in 2006, Gary served in multiple roles over his thirty plus years at 3D/I, managing several branch offices and disciplines and was executive vice president at the time of the acquisition. Gary is an Eagle Scout, former board member of the San Antonio Rotary Club and currently serves on the College of Architecture Dean’s Development Advisory Council.
