Biography
Edward Huckaby '73 (BED) '74 (MARCH), For over 45 years Ed has been involved in the master planning, programming and design of numerous healthcare campuses with projects ranging from $20-750 million. His leadership and specific interest in health care design have led to the development of the numerous notable campuses. Recent projects include, the Nemours, A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children, Wilmington Delaware, Nationwide Children's Hospital, Columbus, Ohio, Texas Children's Hospital, Houston, and the Texas A&M Health Science Center in Bryan, TX. His dedication toward advances in health care design has led to his inclusion as a Fellow in the American Institute of Architects and as founding member and Fellow of the American Academy of Healthcare Architects. Ed was also involved in the formative years of the Health Industry Advisory Council at the College of Architecture at A&M. For many years Ed has been an active speaker and studio adviser nationally and at the college and he spearheaded the establishment of the FKP Scholarship Program for graduate students involved in Architecture for Health. In the community, Ed also provided pro-Bono services in the design and development of preschool facilities for children with Downs Syndrome in Houston and Dallas.
