Studio Culture

The creativity and enthusiasm of the 1,900 students enrolled in College of Architecture degree programs is evident throughout the Langford Architecture Center. The college's many design studios focus on project-centered learning, connecting the classroom to the context of the professional world while engaging students in real-world problem solving. Studios emphasize personal mentoring by faculty, creativity and the production of art and design artifacts. The studio method of teaching fosters innovation, assessment, and professional judgment.
