The College of Architecture offers a program at the Academy for International Education in Germany. Centrally located, Bonn offers the base camp for visiting north and central Europe.

The program offers undergraduate and graduate courses in architecture, planning and building construction. Course work may include studio projects addressing German culture, art, history, and civilization. All courses are delivered in English. Field trips to historic sites and contemporary architectureand landscape architecture in Germany, Holland, and Belgium are part of the program.

Housing, arranged in private apartments or with host families, adds an immersive dimension to the study abroad experience.

Fall and Spring Semester courses in Germany will include:

301. Field Studies in Design Innovation. Credit 1 to 6.
Design innovation in international and domestic environments away from the Texas A&M University campus; emphasis on the cultural, social, economic, geographical, climatic and technological factors influencing design solutions for human needs.

311. Field Studies in Design Communication. Credit 3.
Design communication in international and domestic environments away from the Texas A&M University campus; emphasis on the tools, methods and techniques for design communication.

331. Field Studies in Design Philosophy. Credit 3.
Design philosophy in international and domestic environments away from the Texas A&M University campus; emphasis on the historical, philosophical, cultural, social and economic factors that influence design solution.
